Know More Oopsies and Ouchies was born from an excitement to empower parents and care givers.
Marla is a Canadian certified First Aid and CPR/AED instructor and Volunteer Medical First Responder with St. John Ambulance. Over the past 10 years of her career, Marla has witnessed patterns of fear that new parents were facing. Through her first hand knowledge as a parent of three and her genuine, loving nature, she decided to do something about it.
With Marla as the educator, and daughter Lexy behind the scenes, an unstoppable team was born on a mission to facilitate self-empowerment. We started with private in-home courses, providing the perfect platform to see the necessity in safety and injury prevention education for little ones.
At Know More Oopsies and Ouchies, our excitement is to provide you with current and foundational tools to feel prepared moving through the youngest stages of your family's growth. While we cannot anticipate an accident or medical emergency, we can certainly be equipped and prepared. Let us support you.
Marla teaches Healthcare Provider level CPR to nurses, firefighters, police officers, and other members of the medical community. She also teaches First Aid and safety to pre-teens and teens through Home Alone and Babysitting courses as well as New Parent Workshop with St. John Ambulance.
